This meticulously crafted door is decorated with carved geometrical shapes and is totally functional. Inlaid with various pieces of metal and camel bones, it is often decorated with henna to dye the bone permanently, in addition to carved eyes believed in Morocco to ward off the evil eye, khamsa (hamsa) hand, cockle, whorl shells, antique keys, faux gems, coral stones, and antique coins.
